Centennial

Centennial is ranked among the top 50 safest cities in the nation by 24/7 WallStreet, and is considered one of the most sought-after zip codes in the U.S. The Centennial airport is the third busiest airport in the state and is the closest non-commercial airport to downtown Denver, which is a 20-minute drive to the north off I-25.

With over 245 sunny days per year, Centennial has an abundance of golfing opportunities at South Suburban Golf Course, an 18-hole regulation course with a picturesque mountain backdrop with a new chipping, putting and practice bunker, and Family Sports Golf Course, a 9-hole executive course and a two-tiered driving range. Topgolf is nearby, which offers 100+ climate-controlled hitting bays, shot trackers, and a full-service restaurant and bars.

For non-golfers, Centennial has an 18-hole disc golf course at the David A Lorenz regional park, and two ice arenas. The South Suburban Family Sports Ice Arena is where you can watch the Colorado Avalanche practice, and the South Suburban Ice Arena is a nationally recognized ice skating complex that hosts lessons for beginners and programs for competitive ice hockey and figure skating. Centennial’s award winning Centennial Center Park offers 11 acres of outdoor space with a plaza that exhibits an outdoor amphitheater, barbecue grills, bike and walkable paths, reservable covered bench areas, gas fireplaces, and a playground for children.

There are plenty of shopping options for Centennial residents with the newly renovated Streets at SouthGlenn, which boasts outdoor shopping and movie theatre, and Park Meadows Mall, the largest mall in Colorado.

From local pizza favorite Big Bill’s New York Pizza, ViewHouse, to Eddie V’s and Shanahan’s Steakhouse, the local food scene offers a wide variety of options. Two breweries call Centennial home, Resolute Brewing Company, a dog-friendly brewery with a modern industrial atmosphere, and Halfpenny Brewing Co., which has an outdoor beer garden with a Mug Club Membership program.
